Yes, yes it has been a while since the last post. Seems I substitute a proper blog post with a quick FaceBook blast when I’m really pressed for time. Speaking of FaceBook… Here’s our page case you need to catch up…
Speaking of catching up (holy segue !) – There have been some changes here at ROTB World Headquarters. Some sad, some happy, but that’s the way it is right?
Sad part first… We’re losing our longest-serving member Rachel. Yup, she was snatched up by the Boys & Girls Club in Summerside as their Artistic Director which is one of her dream jobs so we can’t feel too sad about it. Rachel has been a wonderful member of the team for almost 2 years and we’ll miss her a lot. I’m sure there are dozens and dozens of folks who will remember her from when they were here doing a workshop and she was the instructor. Anyhooo… Best of luck to Rachel !
Now for some good stuff ! Alka was with us a couple years back as an intern. Well guess who showed up shortly after Rachel gave her notice with a tray of coffee ? Yup, it was Alka ! Absolutely no reason other than to say hi and check out the new place she had heard about. So she’s back on board but this time she’s getting paid so that’s cool. She does great work and is one heck of a fast learner too so we’re pretty happy she dropped by out of the blue. Funny how those things work, isn’t it?
More good stuff… We had someone else drop by unexpectedly recently… Ann Marie had decided she needed a change of pace and would move to PEI. As she crossed the bridge she saw our World Headquarters ( AKA The ROTB Building ) and thought she should stop in. Long story short… Ann Marie now runs the Gallery ! Yet another team member who dropped into the picture out of the blue. Seems to be a theme…
Last one – Cody has come to us to be my right hand man and help with all the “stuff” that keeps me busy 13 or 14 hours a day. You know, cleanup, sorting out, sanding / waxing, kiln unloading etc. He’s becoming a big help and I REALLY appreciate the weight he’s taking off my to-do list.
So that’s it… you now know as much as I do
