Back Safe & Sound
Apr 2nd, 2010 by Darryl Lentz
Hello everyone ! Here we are back in Kinkora, safe and sound from our huge-big adventure in Asheville, North Carolina, and what a trip it was. We met sooooo many interesting people and saw sooooo many cool things, and learned a lot too. We’ve already started with a few of the practices we picked up, and we’ll be doing a presentation during the Red Sands Tourism Group’s AGM next month as well.
I suppose I shouldn’t say that we’re both back on the Island…. 3 days after we got back Cindy headed out on a Jamaican vacation with her Mom ! How about that? She left me here to toil over soft clay while she rides horses on the beach and snorkles until her face falls off ! I’ll have to add though that she was super super busy… We threw a total of 227 pounds of clay last Monday – 160 pounds from Cindy in bowls and the rest from me in pitchers and natcho plates. Even we thought that was a heck of a lot of clay to throw all at once. Got it all trimmed, incised, and some of it is already in the pile to be glazed prior to shipping it out the door.
Oh speaking of shipping… we also picked up a couple new retailers during March. Welcome to The New Brunswick Museum in Saint John NB and to Kidston Landing in Baddeck Nova Scotia !
If you are in the mood, take a quick click trip (say that 3 times fast with crackers in your mouth) over to our Facebook Fan Page to find out what’s happening on a day-to-day basis.
All the best !
